Spring Luncheon 2022-“Better Together”
The pediatric research we fund today becomes the treatment of tomorrow for every patient, regardless of age, with a neurological disorder. To that end, since 1998. the year The Blue Bird Circle affiliated with Texas Children’s Hospital, The Blue Bird Circle has given over $28.4 Million in support of The Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology, The Blue Bird Circle Research Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, The Blue Bird Circle Rett Center and The Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetics Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine. Notwithstanding this incredible level of giving, the neurological needs continue to grow at an alarming rate. With your financial generosity, we will continue to find treatment and cures for these children, while providing support for the families who love them.

The Blue Bird Circle has sought to give back to the Houston community by supporting the research and medical treatments that benefit children with neurological disorders and that mission continues today.
Imagine Olivia, who has symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy and epilepsy, who cannot speak, who often experiences breathing difficulties, seizures, and repetitive hand movements. This is Rett syndrome, a debilitating neurological disorder.
Imagine Isaac, a child with epileptic seizures, as many as 100 seizures daily. The medications that once controlled his seizures are no longer effective. Unable to attend school, the seizures have affected his memory, his concentration, his motor skills.
Rett syndrome, epilepsy, autism, muscular dystrophy, Batten’s Disease and a whole host of other neurological disorders are treated at The Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology at Texas Children’s Hospital.
The Blue Bird Circle provided the initial funding for and continues to provide sustaining support for research in pediatric neurology, including:
The Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology
The Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetics Laboratory
The Blue Bird Circle Rett Center
The Blue Bird Circle Clinical Research Center
Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine researchers are on the cutting edge of curing epilepsy, and therapeutic trials of cures will begin this year for the devastating disorder of Rett syndrome! Their research and advances in treating neurological disorders continue to astound the medical community, ranking Texas Children’s Hospital #3 in the country in children’s neurology and neurosurgery.
Again, the Spring Luncheon will be our only fundraiser this year. Your generous donation can bring us one step closer to finding cures for children with devastating neurological disorders.
