Learn About the Circle’s WorkIn 1923, in Houston, Texas, a unique organization of women volunteers was created to promote the well-being of humanity through the betterment of the community. Eighty-seven years later the charitable and benevolent activities of The Blue Bird Circle are pledged to the support of The Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology, The Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetics Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine and The Blue Bird Circle Rett Center.The Circle’s newest endeavor, The Blue Bird Circle Clinical Research Centerat Texas Children’s Hospital, capitalizes on the remarkable scientific discoveries being made in the treatment of childhood neurologic diseases and serves as the clinical research arm of the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital. With innovative scientific discoveries, a large, diverse patient population and expert medical providers, the Center is the ideal foundation upon which to build an infrastructure that will advance care to the next level and make a difference in the lives of children affected by neurological disorders and injuries. |
